Michael (“Mike”) McDonnell has had a professional career in financial risk management, namely in country risk, market and credit risk management. He has had a life-long interest in global politics and history. His fiction will interweave themes that combine science fiction with elements from history and politics, and evolving society. Mike received his BA in International Relations from Macalester College, and has an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago. Mike also holds an MA in Applied Statistics from Columbia University. Mike grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, but has lived and worked in New York, in Munich, Germany, and in the Bay Area of Northern California, where he currently resides. The Callers is his first novel.
